Calendar Board

So Im going to share different parts of my homeschool that Im going to be implementing and already am implementing. I just want to say before I go any further if you are homeschooling for the first time like Iam I would suggest starting to plan with your curriculum at least 6 months in advance. I feel like if I tried to start this journey the month of August I would of gone crazy and sent the kids back to public school. I’m just glad I started early.

I have been researching and studying and just learning about all things homeschool. I also have been doing a “trial run” with my four year old. Its gone really well so far and I love watching her succeed and be excited about it. I also am learning some things that need to be better organized and the importance of a written down lesson plan. Oh and watch out in a bout a week I will have a review out for the Apologia Homeschool Planner. Which I LOVE.  So anyways more about this later. Im just going to share my calendar board today.

So this is just a basic calendar pack that I got on amazon here. The numbers that came with it got ruined and ripped from my 1 year old pulling them down and me picking them up so the numbers here are from Little Learning Lovies here. Let me just tell you if you haven’t heard of Little Learning Lovies before you are missing out. She has wonderful pintables. Including games, workbox tags (I have owls I’ll save those for another post) and a lot more. Go check her out here.

Up on the top in the corner is my We Choose Virtues card for the week. I keep up there as a reminder and review it through out the week.

Then below that I have the what is today? etc.. cards that are also from Little Learning Lovies. The numbers and the days are from the same set.

Oh and I don’t know if you can see but my mom gave me a command clear caddy thing. I don’t know where to get it because I haven’t seen them before but it is so nice. I keep the M-F day cards in there.

Then below is a missionary from our church that we pray for that month. I think in the  fall I will also use it for geography lessons. But I also want to teach my kids the importance of missionaries and why what they do Glorifies God.

So there you have it. Short and sweet. Tomorrow or maybe Saturday I’ll talk about my chalkboard wall.

Have a blessed day.

  1. Thanks so much for the mention! 🙂 I think I’d better make some new calendar numbers, huh? I’ll put that on my “Coming Soon” list 🙂

I LOVE how your calendar area looks! and I can’t wait to see what your chalkboard area is like. Mine is getting messy. I’m ready for some great ideas!

    • No problem! Thank you for taking the time to create. I will definitely look out for more of the calendar sets. I think I need one for every season. 😀 Oh my area is a mess right now I think I’ve rearranged at least 5 times in the last couple of months.
